Course Content

Module 1: Grammar revision

In this module we extensively review grammar from the A1 level course. The topics covered include, Simple Past, Comparatives & Superlatives, The Infinitive of Purpose, Past Continuous vs. Simple Past, so, too & enough, The Present Perfect and Future Tenses.

There are a total of 7 lessons in this module, each one has a video explanation of the grammar, as well as grammar, reading, listening and pronunciation exercises.

Module 2: Conditional Tenses

In module two we cover conditional tenses, from the zero conditional, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd conditional, as well as mixed conditionals.

This module also includes a TED talk with related exercises, grammar activities, listening practice and both reading and vocabulary activities.

Module 3: Modal Verbs

In module three we focus on Modal verbs, such as may and might. There are also a wide range of grammar practice exercises, reading practice, listening quizzes, vocabulary training and pronunciation activities.

This module also has an interesting TED talk and related exercises which help you to put into practice the module grammar.

Module 4: Quantifiers

In this module we go into detail about how you can correctly express quantities. You will learn expressions such as "how much/many", "some" and "any". This grammar is fundamental in helping you speak fluently on a wide range of both general and business English topics.

This module is also supported by an engaging TED talk, grammar, reading listening, vocabulary and pronunciation exercises.

Module 5: Verb patterns with ING

Module five covers more advanced grammar structures. Verb patterns with -ing are essential for fluency. These fixed -ing verb forms follow patterns that must be learnt by heart. We prepare students to ensure maximum fluency and recognition of these patterns.

This module is also supported by an engaging TED talk, grammar, reading listening, vocabulary and pronunciation exercises. All exercises are designed to use and activate verb patterns with -ing-

Module 6: The Passive Voice

Module six focuses on improving your understanding of the Passive Voice and its use in English. The module includes an interesting TED talk on how we can eat our landscape.

There are a wide range of reading, listening, grammar, pronunciation and vocabulary exercises.

Module 7: Comparatives

Module seven introduces students to more advanced usage of comparatives. We cover a wide range of exercises across all of the skills areas, from listening with a TED talk, to reading and grammar exercises.

Module 8: Past Perfect

In the last module on the course we introduce learners to the Past Perfect tense. As with all aspects and modules on this course we encourage listening comprehension skills through an engaging TED talk. We improve areas of grammar, reading, listening and pronunciation.
